The old cylindrical lens bag is making a comeback, courtesy of ONA. The newly announced ONA Beacon is a fashionable new take on the classic barrel-style bag that’ll hold all your favorite glass, and maybe a small ILC.

The $150 ONA Beacon is designed primarily as a lens bag. Cylindrical in shape, it harkens back to the singl-lens cases that used to come with large prime lenses in days past; except that it’s much fancier than that.

ONA’s take on the lens cylinder is made of ballistic nylon complimented by leather accents, brass hardware, and a removable strap for convenience. Two zippered pockets on the side of the bag open up to reveal a plush interior complete with removable padded inserts that’ll make sure your lenses stay cozy.

Fully packed, the bag can accommodate up to 4 (small) lenses, but if you move the inserts around you can fit anything from a travel tripod to a backup camera in there:

The Beacon will make its official debut on the ONA website on Valentine’s Day (February 14th, in case you forgot) for a reported price of $150. Something to keep in mind if your sweetheart has a thing for full-grain leather and vintage lens cases… hey, it could happen!
