At the Toronto Film Festival this year, Shutterstock staff photographer Andrew H. Walker set up a photo booth for a different kind of celebrity portrait. Every time a movie or TV star sat down, Walker asked them to show two different sides of themselves to the camera.
What resulted is a series of diptychs that reveal the public and private personalities of some of the entertainment industry’s biggest stars (like Amy Adams above).
“I had my own opinion of what celebrities are like, so doing this project was really fascinating,” Walker tells The Daily Mail. “The reaction of the project varied so widely, I thought – wow, all celebrities are not the same.”
Walker doesn’t reveal which side of each diptych shows the public and which side shows the private.
