With Samsung’s Gear VR mobile virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) being released this, naturally developers are prepping releases or releasing titles in the run up. Newly released from Temple Gate Games is videogame Bazaar, a magical carpet ride in VR.

As players fly through the mystical land of Bazaar, they need to collect exotic trinkets whilst avoiding dart traps, sea cobras, and hungry crocs that lurk around corners. Vandal monkeys have stolen relics from the guardian of the labyrinth and you must recover them in time or be trapped forever. The labyrinths of Bazaar are procedurally generated and feature 25+ collectable items each with unique abilities and 10 + traps and enemies.

“One of my favorite ways to play is to look for the black market in each level, and purchase the golden items as soon as they become available. The coin collection game is fun in its own right, but it’s rewarding to finally spend all that hard-earned treasure!” said Patrick Benjamin, Lead 3D Artist on the developers blog.

The team at Temple Gate Games is composed of AAA vets, including Tod Semple, creator of Plants vs. Zombies, Theresa Duringer, creator of Cannon Brawl, Jeff Gates of Spore, Patrick Benjamin of SimCity, and B Rosaschi, polish master from Zynga.

Bazaar is available to download now for $9.99 USD, and VRFocus will continue to report on the latest releases for the Gear VR HMD as it nears launch.
