The classic videogame concept of defending the Earth from destructive aliens continues to prove itself popular even as we move into the era of virtual reality (VR). Mobile game developer, Maysalward, has taken on the solid theme and has developed its first VR mobile game for iOS and Android devices, Aliens Invasion VR, and it is supported for the Google Cardboard VR headset.

The name of the arcade shooter, Aliens Invasion VR, gives a pretty good idea of what to expect, immersing the user into a world where they are the only hope in a worldwide alien invasion. Flying a state-of-the-art F16 fighter jet, the player will use their fighting skills to defend major cities around the world such as Paris, Pisa and New York, by blasting the aliens out of the sky in a 3D gameplay experience. The controls are easy to grasp and there are in-game ads, however it won’t distract or force you to leave the app during play.

Aliens Invasion VR, rated +9 is available to play for free, and you can get your hands on it through either the Apple iTunes store or Google Play.
