Rollercoaster simulators can be one of the best ways to introduce people into the world of virtual reality (VR), as it involves an experience they’ve likely enjoyed in the real world. The Samsung Gear VR doesn’t really feature many but developer Rilix is looking to up that number with its content offering for the mobile head-mounted display (HMD) with Rilix Coaster.

Popping up in the Concepts section of the Oculus Store, Rilix Coaster is a freely downloadable title that puts players on a runaway mine cart experience. The Brazilian developer has taken its rollercoaster title to several events in its home country, with its own pod for visitors to feel more immersed, and expanded into the US by taking part in IAAPA Attractions Expo 2015 held in Orlando.

Rilix ran the experience using the Gear VR at the shows so now the studio has made the Rilix Coaster available for all the headsets owners.

As rollercaosters a familiar to most people the experience should be comfortable for the majority and Rilix Coaster doesn’t require any additional gamepad to enjoy.

VRFocus will continue its Gear VR coverage, reporting back with the latest releases.
