Virtual reality (VR) fans have probably heard of Cubicle Ninjas by now. The team has worked on a number of projects for head-mounted displays (HMDs), perhaps the most promising of which being its upcoming relaxation-based title, Guided Meditation VR. This month, however, the studio has something completely new to debut on the Gear VR mobile-based HMD. The developer has launched Spectacle for the device’s app section.

Spectacle allows you to alter images captured with the given phone’s camera within VR and then share your work on networks like Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, instant messengers and emails. What’s really interesting, however, is the title’s control scheme. Users have their hands in from the Gear VR to change the filter in use, while also using the touch pad to change categories and take photos. The software uses over 100 custom filters.

The app costs $0.99 USD, though does also feature in-app purchases.
