Back in early 2014 Australian developer Black Delta announced its kart racing simulator KartKraft, (previously called Kartsim) would be heading to the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). Since then it became Greenlit on Steam and will be arriving on Early Access on 2nd, June 2016. But if you’d like to get access to the videogame even earlier, Black Delta has now revealed the first Closed Beta for KartKraft which players can sign up to.

The closed beta hasn’t yet started, but players can register by going to the website and entering their details. The first wave of invitations are set to be distributed next week, and it’ll be the first time fans of KartKraft will be able to experience the upcoming kart racing game.

Originally the developer planned to release the title in Q1, 2016, but that date was pushed back to ensure the videogame had been fully tested, hence the closed beta.

Over the beta period, testers will be given the opportunity to provide detailed feedback on the game, as well as identifying glitches, bugs and crashes. There will be several rounds of testing going on over the next few months, players who miss out on the first round of testing, will be given further chances as more waves of invitations will be sent out.

VRFocus will continue its coverage of KartKraft, reporting back any further announcements.
