Last year it was revealed that developer Three One Zero’s anticipated first-person survival videogame, ADR1FT, would now be launching alongside the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) with full support for the device. Today has seen that kit finally reveal its long anticipated release date, as the first shipments are expected to take place on 28th March 2016. As such publisher 505 Games has confirmed that this will also be the launch date for ADR1FT.

The publisher confirmed as much on Twitter, later adding that it will also be available on Steam for standard monitors. The Oculus Rift edition will be sold through Oculus Home, the company’s official VR storefront. ADR1FT is also on display at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada this week, being shown on the Oculus Rift as part of Nvidia’s showcase at the event.

This makes ADR1FT one of a handful of titles that are confirmed for the launch of the Oculus Rift, with Iris VR also announcing that Technolust would be available from day one earlier today. Oculus Studios titles such as Lucky’s Tale are also thought to be ready for the end of March.

ADR1FT is a first-person experience in which players are cast as an astronaut that narrowly survives a horrific accident on board a space station. It’s thought that the title will also be coming to other VR HMDs such as the HTC Vive on PC and the PlayStation VR on PlayStation 4 later down the line, though specific details on this are yet to be confirmed.
