Just over a year ago developer DrashVR launched Samsung Gear VR app Titans of Space, allowing users to take a tour though the solar system. Now the studio is planning an upgrade with Titans of Space 2.0 for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift head-mounted displays (HMDs).

Launching next week on 24th May through Steam Early Access, Titans of Space 2.0 will continue what its predecessor started, allowing users to explore and learn about the planets. DrashVR has recreated the planets and the moons that orbit them using real data from space agencies from around the world.

At launch Titans of Space 2.0 will include these features: The “Classic” tour, updated with full support for the premium VR headsets HTC Vive and Oculus Rift; Standing Support; Side-by-Side Comparisons; Gravity Probe Launcher; Real Distance View and small content additions. The developer also notes on the Steam Page: “In addition to the above, the roadmap includes FIVE more major features and modes, additional content for the Solar System, and fresh new content beyond. New features and content will be released in regular chunks, always polished and playable, and always built from the ground up for VR.”

Titans of Space 2.0 will be in Early Access for approximately 6-12 months with a cheaper price available. Once out of Early Access DrashVR does plan to raise the price, saying: “The app will be cheaper during Early Access to reflect its unfinished state. At this time I’m planning to raise the price a little bit upon leaving Early Access, subject to market conditions.”

The first trailer for Titans of Space 2.0 can be seen below. As DrashVR adds further content and updates VRFocus will bring you the latest.
