PlayStation VR, Sony Interactive Entertainment’s (SIE’s) virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) for PlayStation 4, may not have an official release date or price attached to it yet, but new projects keep being announced for it. O!My Genesis has already been revealed for the kit at this week’s Taipei Game Show in Taiwan, and now another new title has been revealed in the form of The Telltale Project. Despite that name, though, this isn’t a new VR experience from the famed episodic series developers.

Instead, The Telltale Project is being developed by Winking Entertainment using Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4 middleware. A brief trailer can be seen below, though it offers little in the way of gameplay details. That said, it does reveal a sci-fi story and sets a tone of discovery as humans set out to travel Mars for the first time. There, it appears a team of explorers uncovers the remains of an ancient civilisation that thrived on the planet. The end of the footage seems to suggest that the team will make a surprising discovery during the course of the journey.

Other details on The Telltale Project are scarce right now. It’s unclear if this will be a first-person experience or something entirely different. For the latest on the title, keep reading VRFocus.
