2016 looks to be a big year for virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies. With the main head-mounted displays (HMDs) launching over the course of the year, and more content due to be available, VR and AR events should be jam packed with exciting news for technology fans. Announced for March will be The Augmented Reality & VR Show is a two-day conference being held in London, UK, featuring over 40 speakers.

Speakers currently confirmed for the conference are: Anthony Mullen, Profusion – Practice lead and R&D, Ashutosh Tomar, Jaguar Landrover Research – Principal Engineer, Erik Jacobson, Accenture’s Emerging Technology Group, Dr Simon Taylor, Zappar – Research Director and Co-Founder, Dr Shafi Ahmed, Virtual Medics – Consultant Surgeon Barts Health Director and Head of Programme, Radislav Potyrailo, GE Global Research – Principal Scientist, Ruud de Jonge, Microsoft – IT Director, Saverio Romeo, Beecham Research – Principal Analyst, Simon Jones, ON PR – Managing Director, Steve Dann, Amplified Robot – CEO and Arman Atoyan, X-TECH – Founder and CEO.

The conference will be co-located with The Wearable Technology Show being held at Excel London, on 15th – 16th March 2016, with early bird exhibition passes available until 1st January 2016.
