E3 might be over for another year but there’s still plenty to discuss about the event. For UK-based developer Rebellion that includes looking back to the year before, when its upcoming virtual reality (VR) tank battling title Battlezone made its first E3 appearance. A year on, Rebellion have released a video reflecting on the time past. Where they were in 2015 versus where they are in 2016 in the run up to the consumer release of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s (SIE’s) Playstation VR.

The video, which features studio CEO Jason Kingsley and other developers such as Senior Producer James Valls discussing the game showcases new footage from the title, explains design decisions, offers a side-by-side comparison with the 2015 verion and even reveals a connection to the Rebellion owned Judge Dredd comic series 2000AD.

Battlezone, not to be confused with remastered strategy classic Battlezone 98 Redux, also a Rebellion produced title released this year, is also confirmed to be heading to the Oculus Rift on PC as well at a later date.

VRFocus will continue to follow Rebellion’s efforts closely, reporting back with any further updates on its progress.
