Back in January Oculus VR opened up pre-orders for its virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD), Oculus Rift. That was a success in terms of orders made, although when those do start shipping on 28th March, some buyers will have to wait until June for theirs as demand was high. Today sees the launch of a new pre-order campaign this time for the Oculus Ready PC bundles which include a HMD as well. The pre-orders have now gone live on Best Buy, Amazon and Microsoft Store, as of 8am PT.

Listed on the stores are all eight bundles ranging from the ASUS G11CD-B11 package at $1,499 USD all the way up to the Alienware Area 51 series PC, priced at $3,149.98. Oculus VR has previously said the bundles would start at $1,499 USD but the prices are supposedly only for a limited time. What duration this is for hasn’t been revealed, or which models maybe affected.

Apart from the different PCs in each package, buyers will get an Oculus Rift headset, a copy of CCP Games’ EVE: ValkyrieLucky’s Tale and an Xbox One controller. The expected release date for the bundles is listed as Saturday 23rd, April 2016, although that date is subject to change by Oculus VR.

As further details of the pre-orders is released, VRFocus will be there to report on the latest announcements.
