Alongside the HTC Vive’s bundled videogames – Tilt Brush, Job Simulator and Fantastic Contraption – there’s going to be a raft of other titles available for owners of the head-mounted display (HMD) to enjoy. New revealed to be available for the device’s launch is Portal Stories: VR from developer Prism Studios.

The Portal series was created by Valve, and Prism Studios created an official mod for Portal 2 called Portal Stories: Mel. Portal Stories: VR now builds upon that previous mod whilst giving it a virtual reality (VR) twist.

As the official description reads: “Portal Stories: VR has a brand new mini story set in the Portal Universe. It features 10 brand new puzzles, specifically designed to work using the 360 degrees room scale that Steam VR offers. Inside Aperture, you’ll be able to use the new “Aperture Science Instant Teleportation Device” and the “Aperture Science Apparatus Retrieval Tool” to solve the new tests.”

Portal Stories: VR is being solely made for the HTC Vive HMD and will be available as a free download on 5th April.

VRFocus will continue its coverage of all things HTC Vive related, reporting back any new announcements.
