This year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles has been a big one for Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) and its PlayStation VR headset. Throughout the week Sony have brought fans highly exciting announcements for the headset, not just revealing its release date (that’s October 13th in case you had somehow missed it) but also showcasing all of the exciting exclusive titles its users will get the chance to play, from Resident Evil VII, to Batman: Arkham, and Final Fantasy XV. For attendees of E3 the anticipation created by these announcements was at the very least tempered by the ability to head to Sony’s booth on the show floor and try out some of the 40 VR titles they had made available to demo. For everyone not able to attend, however, there was no such chance and instead all they’ve had to tide them over is a collection of screenshots, short teaser trailers and hands-on accounts.

That won’t be the case for long, though as Sony has announced on its blog that the PlayStation VR headset and several demos will be coming to more than 30 Best Buy and GameStop locations across the U.S and Canada on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th of June for players to try out. Then, from June 24th the availability will expand and the demos will be found at more than 300 locations nationwide.

The demos on offer at first will be PlayStation VR Worlds, EVE: Valkyrie, Headmaster, Battlezone and SUPERHYPERCUBE. After this more game demos will be added leading up to PSVR’s launch in October.

VRFocus will keep an eye out for demo news as it becomes available and report back as it becomes available. To see which stores the demos can be found in this weekend, visit the PlayStation blog now.
