Fans of virtual reality (VR) and videogame franchise Killing Floor got some exciting news at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) taking place in Los Angeles this week, when it was announced at the PC Gaming Show that the series would be coming to Oculus Rift with a new installment called Killing Floor: Incursion.

Killing Floor: Incursion is a first person co-op shooter that has players take on the role of an elite solider who uses an array of weapons to defeat a horde of sci-fi monsters alongside a group of allies. The title will be coming to Oculus Rift with Oculus Touch support, thanks to which players will be able to freely explore and scavenge the videogame’s diverse environments with natural interaction.

As well as the announcement, the Killing Floor developers, Tripwire Interactive, also released a trailer for the title shortly after, which, though short shows off some of the videogame’s terrifying monsters as well as its weapons and the natural way they move thanks to the Oculus Touch support.

As if all of that news in one week wasn’t enough, VRFocus is bringing you brand new screenshots from Killing Floor: Incursion. The screenshots give a glimpse of the dark and atmospheric environments that players will be able to explore during the videogame, as well as closeups of some of the monsters, and the use of blades and handguns in action. Killing Floor: Incursion certainly doesn’t look like a virtual reality experience for the faint of heart.
