Razer’s Open Source Virtual Reality (OSVR) is set to receive official support in a forthcoming Unreal Engine 4 update, the company has revealed. Unreal Engine 4.12 will integrate compatibility with OSVR supported head-mounted displays (HMDs), including Razer’s own Hacker Development Kit (HDK).

In an official statement, Razer offered the following: “Epic Games will be working with the OSVR team to bring official compatibility of the Unreal Engine 4.12 to the software platform. The HDK is available to purchase via Razer now, priced at $299 USD. The HMD is aimed at a development audience with no official consumer release yet announced. VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on OSVR and VR support in Unreal Engine 4.
