CEEK developer Next Galaxy Corp. has announced a collaboration with Miami Dade College to offer an “Introduction to Virtual Reality” course. The course will be held at colleges Miami Animation and Game International Complex (MAGIC), which is a state of the art interactive learning facility for students to learn to create anything animated, from videogames, cartoons and movies and beyond.

Students attending the course will receive virtual reality (VR) package from Next Galaxy featuring its CEEK 4D Audio Headphones and controller, as well as a VR head-mounted display (HMD). The partnership enables students to learn and create content designed for the growing VR market. It also allows Next Galaxy to develop a network of trained professionals to work on future projects.

“We are excited to team up with Next Galaxy to bring a hands on program in Virtual Reality to the community,” said MAGIC chairperson Mauricio Ferrazza. “We actually put together this facility as if it were a real animation studio.

While Mary Spio, President of Next Galaxy has said: “Virtual reality is about to take off in a way that I don’t think anybody can fully comprehend. We’re totally convinced of the role Virtual Reality will play in most aspects of education, commerce, entertainment and training of all kinds in the future.

The developer will be providing an in-studio experience for the VR program, allowing students to learn about VR through in-classroom instruction and hands on projects. These project will teach students to make 360 videos, 3D immersive Audio, Computer Generated VR Environments and other VR skills.
