Major new content has arrived for Studio Wildcard’s virtual reality (VR) compatible role-playing game (RPG), ARK: Survival Evolved, this week. The team has added breeding to the Early Access version of its videogame, making baby dinosaurs also a part of the experience. This allows players to selectively raise beasts with stronger traits and stats over time. Both these babies and a new creator, the Mosasaurus, were recently seen in a new video, but now new images have arrived that also detail both.
The first image showcases a baby dinosaur standing with its parent, while the second is the expected factsheet for the Moasaurus, just like the others that have accompanied other dinosaurs to be added since the 2nd June 2015 launch of the Early Access version. The aquatic creature is one of the larger beasts in the videogame, capable of carrying turrets and platforms on its back.
ARK: Survival Evolved is an online, first-person in which players can build their own settlements, create better equipment and even tame dinosaurs, using them for transportation and more. The Early Access version of the title already supports the Oculus Rift head-mounted display’s (HMD’s) second development kit (DK2), although Studio Wildcard will also be bringing support for the PlayStation VR HMD on PlayStation 4 when this version of the title launches in June 2016. HTC Vive support on PC is also being considered, and the title is also on its way to the Xbox One console.
