Back in September 2015 at the Oculus Connect 2 event, the company announced that world building videogame Minecraft would be coming to both Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR. Today the title has now arrived for the mobile head-mounted display (HMD).

Downloadable from the Oculus Store for $6.99 USD, Minecraft has become one of the most well known titles that allows players to create whatever they like in cube form. This Gear VR edition supports all of the features of pocket edition, including Creative and Survival modes, skins and multiplayer.

A Bluetooth controller is required to play and Oculus VR has listed the title as ‘comfortable for some’, so motion sickness shouldn’t be too bad. It’s also available on all versions of the Gear VR, including Galaxy Note 4.

VRFocus will continue its coverage of Gear VR, reporting back with any new content updates.
