Taking place this week in Washington DC is the 7th annual Health Datapalooza, running from 8th – 11th May. Attending the event will be Mana Health, a technology solutions company that creates data-driven solutions for healthcare. At its booth Mana Health will be showcasing its latest virtual reality (VR) technology that allows visitors to experience a new interface and format to view patient data.

The company’s ManaCloud platform enables HIT professionals to capture data flows from multiple systems to obtain a unified stream of data around their patient population, including patient generated health data. After which all the collected data can be exported into other applications, such as VR, through the ManaCloud API.

“We look forward to showcasing how unique, high-volume data viewing is possible with Mana Cloud™  and data visualization software in virtual reality,” said Mana Health CEO and Co-founder Chris Bradley. “As medicine continues to move toward a data-driven science, physicians will find this beneficial in extracting actionable insights from large populations to drive personalized decisions for each patient individually.”

“Developers will be able to see some of the possibilities that are unlocked once they start working on top of our platform. By focusing on creating value from the data instead of interoperability and integration, they are able to create products and services even more rapidly. Our VR demo will showcase some of the art of the possible when you combine Virtual Reality the Mana Cloud platform,” Bradley added.

VRFocus will continue its coverage on the latest healthcare uses of VR, reporting back any further announcements.
