Super Kaiju is one of the latest title to come to the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, and it promises to be “the greatest and most anticipated sports tournament on the planet”, and it is seeking support as a Steam Early Access title for the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift head-mounted displays (HMD).

This title is prodominently a multiplayer tournament title challenges players to fight for fame and fortune as one of the elite mech-monsters, dubbed as Kaijus. Players will take to multiple environments, including what the devs decribe as “harsh volcanoes spewing rivers of lava that bubble in a fiery maelstrom across the arena”, to the polar opposite of a frozen sea of icebergs, all in the Thunderdome.

The top features that define the title are: Competitive multiplayer battles, where players take part in a 1v1 battle against other challengers who are fighting to get to the top of the leaderboard; off map support, where players can kill flying monsters to gain stars to benefit their fighting power; and environments; which include the two previously mentioned as well as forests.

As explained by the developers, Super Kaiju has started off as an Early Access title – despite its aesthetically pleasing characteristics – as it needs to build up a community, as well as the best polish to the videogame.

Currently, the title is comprised of a best-of-three game mode, but it aims to be extended and further polished. It is on Steam for a discounted price of £11.25 (GBP), 25% less than the original tag of £14.99, which ends on 5th August.
