Yesterday VRFocus reported on Headtrip Games’ iOMoon would soon be available for Oculus Rift through Steam’s Early Access. Today the title has now launched on the videogame platform for those who’ve received their headsets.

iOMoon is a first-person sci-fi adventure where life has been found on iO, one of Jupiter’s moons. Cast in the role of a exobiologist you’re sent search for evidence piloting an exploration probe. Delving deep into the heart of the moon you’ve only got a flare and a camera as tools to help in your mission and survive this strange world.

While the videogame currently only supports the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD), Headtrip Games is working on a version for HTC Vive. At the moment no details are yet available on when it’ll launch.

Priced at £14.99 GBP the full release version won’t alter in price when it becomes available. On the matter of how long the studio plans to stay in early access the team state: “The plan is to keep adding new content and evolving the current experience for the next 6-8months depending on the support we earn.”

VRFocus will continue its coverage of iOMoon, reporting back any new updates.
