The HTC Vive is shipping out to a handful of customers this week, marking the first time the anticipated virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) has been made available to consumers. While many are looking to get their hands on the kit itself, then, some are also hoping to see some HTC Vive-branded merchandise to display their love for the tech. As it turns out, HTC is planning to create a site dedicated to these types of products.

Asked on Twitter about the possibility of a place to purchase t-shirts, posters and more for the device, HTC VP of VR Daniel O’Brien noted that a merch site was coming. He didn’t give any indication of when it might arrive, nor exactly what products would be available through the site. It’s also not clear if this site could offer additional accessories for the HTC Vive, perhaps including replacement controllers and Lighthouse base stations should users require them, or stands for the latter devices.

The HTC Vive costs $799 and comes with those controllers and two base stations. VRFocus has been busy reviewing its launch line-up, including titles like Job Simulator, Fantastic Contraption and #SelfieTennis.
