In an announcement today Tastee Beverage Studios has revealed its upcoming virtual reality (VR) combat magnet racer, Bank Limit: Advance Battle Racing, will launch on Steam on 16th August 2016.

First revealed by the studio back in February, Bank Limit: Advanced Battle Racing is a futuristic racer where player will be able to drive at speeds up to Mach 10, across 20 gravity-defying tracks.

The multiplatform title supports Oculus Rift and HTC Vive head-mounted displays (HMDs), along with Windows PC’s, includes cross-platform multiplayer and three battle arenas for deathmatches using race cars capable of short flights under control, and all out vehicular battles via head-controlled weaponry.

Bank Limit: Advanced Battle Racing has been in development by the indie studio for over two years and built using Unity 5, and was initially announced for Oculus Rift.  The videogame then expanded onto HTC Vive and Windows PC so that VR and non-VR gamers can could race together.

Its a high octane racer where players can use any tactics available to them to win. As the vehicles are capable of flight and players can blast into space for intervals of dogfighting before rejoining the track. The 20 tracks are set across three different worlds with up to 25 cars racing together at the same time. For fans that like to head into battle the three arenas will put gamers against three other human players and 100 AI drone ships. The cross-platform multiplayer racing supports up to four players, enabling Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive owners to go head-to-head.
