It’s been a while since virtual reality (VR) fans have heard from Ghost Machine, the developer of a wide range of titles such as Invasion Force and Warhawks. With VR head-mounted displays (HMDs) now starting to ship out to consumers, the studio will be looking to push some of its experiences into the spotlight. Today, the team is launching its latest title, Gumball Drift, which will be a part of the HTC Vive launch line-up when the kit finally starts to arrive on doorsteps tomorrow, 5th April 2016.

Gumball Drift costs £10.99 GBP and resembles a sort of RC car racing title, only with real vehicles and tracks. Described as an arcade racer, players will master corners on a wide range of tracks in competition with three other opponents. There are also plans to bring the project to both the Oculus Rift and Gear VR in the future.  A trailer for the title can also be seen below.

“I’m really excited that we are able to be part of such a well orchestrated and amazing launch of such a ground breaking product as the HTC/Valve Vive.” commented Neal Nellans, CEO of Ghost Machine. “It’s been a pleasure to work with the great partners at HTC and Valve, and we are looking forward building many more games for their platform.”
