With each of the three major virtual reality (VR) head-mounted displays (HMDs) set to launch within the next six months there’s going to be one major factor that truly differentiates one from the other: content. Both Oculus VR and Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) are lining up exclusives for the Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR head-mounted displays (HMDs) respectively, while Valve and HTC seem to be taking a more open approach to the HTC Vive. But, according to the CEO of US videogame retailer GameStop, it’s PlayStation VR that has the ‘strongest’ line-up.

Paul Raines said as much at the ICR Conference 2016 in Orlando, Florida this week, as reported by GameStop. “The more important thing will be the title count at launch,” Raines said. “I think that’s going to be big. And from what we can see at this point, Sony seems to have the strongest title count.” His words suggest that he’s referring to the quantity of titles rather than the quality of them. Full launch line-ups for any VR HMD are yet to be revealed.

PlayStation VR is set to launch at some point within H1 2016 while the Oculus Rift will be arriving for the first people to pre-order on 28th March, with the HTC Vive following in April.
