The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles begins tomorrow, but before the show officially opens several press conferences hosted by the major videogame publishers and manufacturers have to take place first. Electronic Arts (EA), Bethesda, Ubisoft and Microsoft have all had theirs and last up on June 13 is Sony Interactive Entertainment. Sony has revealed a whole host of exciting virtual reality (VR) titles that will be exclusive to Playstation VR (PSVR) at launch, one of which is Farpoint from developer Impulse Gear.

In its reveal trailer, Farpoint appears to be a first person space exploration shooter where players will take on alien enemies armed with a variety of weapons in an array of diverse environments. The trailer opens with a man and a woman exploring a planet that they say doesn’t “appear to be on the star charts.”

Farpoint is the very first title from Impulse Gear studios which was founded in 2013. It’s just one of several titles that Sony announced for Playstation VR at its conference, which included Resident Evil 7, Final Fantasy 15, and Star Wars Battlefront. The PSVR headset itself was given a launch date of October 13 2016 at the conference, meaning there’s only 4 months to go until we can get our hands on titles just like this.
