Virtual reality (VR) compatible driving title Euro Truck Simulator 2 by SCS Software has recently been updated to Oculus VR’s 0.7 software development kit (SDK). Confirmed on the developers forum this week, the videogame has supported the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) since March 2014, and looks to be continuing that support.

Even with the latest update to Euro Truck Simulator 2, it still doesn’t officially support Oculus VR’s latest 0.8 SDK. But on the forum post the developer did say: “The oculus beta was updated with version using 0.7 SDK. It seems to be compatible with 0.8 as well. The version utilizing 0.6 SDK is currently still available in oculus_06.” So it does seem that the driving videogame may support the latest SDK, but there’s currently nothing official.

Euro Truck Simulator 2 released in October 2012 and comes with a range of journeys in different countries for players to replicate. They must make sure that deliveries are made on time and with a minimum of issues.

VRFocus will continue to follow all the latest VR updates to Euro Truck Simulator 2, as SCS Software announces them.
