Earlier this week Evolution Studios revealed new screenshots for upcoming virtual reality (VR) racing title DriveClub VR alongside confirmation it would be a PlayStation VR exclusive. Paul Rustchynsky ex DriveClub game director has also revealed that the title will get a free update that’ll include new tracks.

In a tweet Rustchynsky responded to a Twitter users question on new content, to which he responded: “The new tracks will be added to DRIVECLUB in a free update as a thank you for your continued support.”

The developer didn’t go into detail on how many tracks might be included, what locations may feature, or when the update would likely go live. The new tracks could well be those featured in the recently released screenshots that showcase several urban and mountain scenes.

VRFocus reported back in July that DriveClub VR would be a launch title for Sony Interactive Entertainment’s (SIE’s) PlayStation VR head-mounted display (HMD), which sees a worldwide launch on 13th, October 2016. An appearance on the Japanese PlayStation.Blog showed a price of ¥4,900 JPY excluding taxes (approximately £36 GBP/$47 USD) although neither the US or UK sites currently show a price. This is roughly inline with several other titles for the VR headset which have been revealed to range from £15.99 to £54.99.

The PlayStation VR is set to feature a strong line-up of videogames at launch with a steady succession of titles being released over the subsequent months. For all the latest news on the headset keep reading VRFocus.
