The next holiday season will be virtual reality’s (VR’s) first, with major PC and, hopefully, console-based head-mounted displays (HMDs) finally available for consumers to pick up. By then it will be more important than ever to get the tech into everyone’s hands to try and show them what it can do. To that end, Tandem Events is today announcing Develop:VR, a new B2B conference and expo that’s set to focus on both VR and augmented reality (AR) later this year.

Develop:VR will be held on 24th November 2016 in London and will offer a look at creating top-tier VR and AR content. There will be a total of three tracks to follow at the show, including two for VR videogames and another for its use beyond play in medical, commercial, government and entertainment sectors. Speakers haven’t yet been announced but will include those that have already created VR content. The expo, meanwhile, will play host to a wide range of content.

“Virtual reality has offered video games developers with some unique opportunities,” commented Andy Lane, managing director of Tandem Events. “The potential for developers within the games industry is apparent, but virtual reality also opens doors to other industries. We’ve curated Develop:VR to help developers harness these prospects, provide a platform for learning and to showcase their talent.”
