Spaceout.VR is the new name for Daydream.VR, a virtual reality (VR) portal application launched in November 2015. Spaceout.VR, free download from the App store and Google Play, now includes an enhanced music virtualizer, a geospacial VR application and the popular Headbangerz endless runner rhythm videogame.

Daydream.VR launched last year and quickly established a strong following. With that success under its belt, Spaceout.VR will relaunch the application with over 60,000 current subscribers.

Spaceout.VR proposes a new way to experience music that can change your perception of your favourite songs and mixes. Aiming to deliver an immersive, sound-responsive, fantastical world from your music collection, Spaceout.VR is dedicated to the ideal of enlivening music with the benefits brought about by modern VR.

Headbangerz, the first experience made available via the Spaceout.VR application, allows you to take the music stored on your device and put it into an on-rails coin collecting mini-game. Following a rainbow coloured track, the player collects coins littering the environment by moving through the use of head-look technology.

V Owen Bush, CEO of SpaceoutVR, Inc. stated: “As Spaceout.VR we can now differentiate our brand and product offerings and get into the space race of VR. This name change and rebranding is the next step of our corporate strategy to ensure optimal growth and market penetration.”

Available now for Google Cardboard compatible head-mounted displays (HMDs), SpaceoutVR, Inc. also promise that Samsung Gear VR, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift versions are in development. No release dates have yet been announced for these subsequent editions of Spaceout.VR, but VRFocus will of course keep you updated with all the latest details.
