With 2015 almost at a close there’s still a few events still taking place before virtual reality (VR) fans welcome in the new year. Tomorrow will see the annual German Developer Awards taking place in Cologne, Germany, the same city as Gamescom is held during the summer. Frankfurt based developer Crytek will be attending the event with a VR demonstration and giving its opinions at a VR gaming panel.

Representing Crytek on the panel will be Director of Production, David Bowman, who will be discussing the facts, fiction and market opportunities of VR videogaming during a summit which takes place throughout the day in the build up to the evening ceremony. For attendees of the gala awards show the developer will also be showcasing VR title Back to Dinosaur Island 2.

Crytek has previously done well at the show, winning a total of 19 awards over the years.

The Developer Awards will be hosted at Cologne’s waterfront DOCK.ONE venue, while the summit will be running from 9am – 5.15pm CET at the Cologne Exhibition Center. Tickets and further information for both events are available at the official website.

VRFocus will continue to follow all the latest news from Crytek regarding its VR projects, reporting back any further announcements.
