Over the past few months VRFocus has been reporting on UK-based Climax Studios’ Bandit Six: Salvo, a follow up to its original virtual reality (VR) title, Bandit Six. The turret-based first-person shooter (FPS) launched on the Gear VR mobile head-mounted display (HMD) earlier this month but, with the consumer launch of the device taking place in the US earlier today, people are now able to actually play it. VRFocus sat down with Climax Studios to talk about the launch.

In the interview below the team’s Jennifer Hardy discusses its latest VR output, in which players take to beaches and other environments to fend off waves of enemies using a variety of weapons.

VRFocus will continue to follow Climax Studios’ work in VR closely, reporting back with the latest updates on its progress.
