A flurry of new releases arrived for Samsung’s Gear VR head-mounted display (HMD) this week. They included Artfire Games’ Cosmos Warfare, YoutopiaVR’s StreetView VR, 521VR’s Sera: A Story and AltspaceVR. All of these are free to download, and there’s more good news for owners of the mobile HMD, Climax Studios two titles Bandit Six and Bandit Six: Salvo are currently on sale.

Both videogames are discounted by 50 per cent, with Bandit Six now discounted to $2.49 USD and Bandit Six: Salvo coming in at $1.49 USD. These offers are only available for a limited time though, with the sale ending on 10th February.

Bandit Six was the first title Climax Studios released for the Gear VR back when it was the Innovator Edition. Players take the role of a gun turret operator in a World War 2 bomber, fending off swarms of enemy fighters, rockets and missiles.

While in Bandit Six: Salvo the premise is the same but the developer has expanded the idea. Now instead of a turret inside a bomber,  players operate a number of ground weapons that overlook a range of locations, using different positions and firing types to take down a variety of different enemy types.

VRFocus will continue to cover all the latest offers and releases for the Gear VR, as details are announced.
