Anomalie is a cinematic first-person experience that tells the story of a routine space delivery gone wrong. Available now for both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, Krush Technologies’ virtual reality (VR) experience has been expanded to include new gameplay modes following its debut at CES, Las Vegas, earlier this year.

Originally unveiled alongside the Moveo motion-simulator, Anomalie is now a standalone Oculus Rift and HTC Vive experience. Even without strapping yourself into Moveo, Anomalie aims to deliver a captivating experience on a mission to unite humans and machine.

Cast in the role of a short-range cargo pilot, the player’s character is struggling with the mundane routine of daily life. Soon after the experience begins however, harmless-looking space anomaly near your ship threatens to make this delivery anything but normal.

Not only is Anomalie Krush Technologies’ first VR experience made available to consumers, but it is in fact the company’s first release on Steam. “We ignore boundaries, building tech that spans physical and virtual worlds, hardware, software, and engineering. Our products create spaces for true engagement, excitement, and interaction,” states the company on its official website.

In addition to the experience designed for the 3-axis Moveo motion-simulator, Krush Technologies has added “free-roam” and “Survive” gameplay modes to this official Steam release. Available to download via Steam now, priced at £3.99 GBP, Anomalie is compatible with both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive as a seated experience, and thus requires a control pad also.
