Last year Cartoon Network Games partnered with SMS Racing developer Turbo Button to release Adventure Time: Magic Man’s Head Games on the Gear VR mobile-based head-mounted display (HMD). It served as one of the first examples of licensed content being used for a virtual reality (VR) videogame instead of simple brand promotion, bringing the popular animated series to life. Those that don’t own a Gear VR don’t have to worry about missing out, however, as it’s recently been confirmed that the title is also on its way to major console and PC-based HMDs.

Cartoon Network Games itself has confirmed that Adventure Time: Magic Man’s Head Games is on its way to the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive on PC and PlayStation VR on PlayStation 4. Obviously none of these HMDs have been released yet, so don’t expect a launch until at least the arrival of the first kit, the Oculus Rift, at the end of March 2016. The HTC Vive, meanwhile, will be releasing in April 2016 while the wait for a full release date for PlayStation VY beyond the vague H1 2016 window continues.

Adventure Time: Magic Man’s Head Games is a third-person action experience in which players take on the role of Finn and Jake, fighting enemies and completing some platform-based challenges. It’s not yet clear if the new versions might contain any additional content over the Gear VR release.
