Bellevue, Washington-based VRstudios has been championing the use of wireless, full-body motion virtual reality (VR) since 2014. In that time the company has launched its VRcade gaming system and announced partnerships with Korean company Simuline to bring its tech to other regions around the world. Today the company has revealed that a prominent business operations and management leader, Kevin Vitale, has joined the company as Executive VP of International Operations to aid expansion plans.

Vitale’s role will focus on building VRstudios’ worldwide footprint by establishing international manufacturing and distributor relationships and sales offices. He brings with him 30 years of corporate experience leading domestic and international operations having previously worked for ITTQume /Alcatel, Netframe Systems, Wall Data, Encanto Networks, and Ejasent.

“VRstudios is quickly attracting pivotal customers, industry partners, distributors, and content developers,” said Charles Herrick, chief executive officer of VRstudios. “Kevin Vitale’s proven success at growing global markets and technology companies is a timely and strong asset that will accelerate our ability to capitalise on the growing interest in our offerings. His operational expertise and global relations will further enable the delivery of our distinctive VR systems and solutions to the international commercial enterprise space.”

“Virtual Reality is redefining how we work, live and play, and VRstudios is setting the bar for what should be expected from the VR and immersive industries,” said Vitale. “I am honoured to join an impressive team and organization that will change the world with its platform technology and products. I look forward to sharing the company’s next-generation VR systems and solutions to our international partners and customers.”

Alongside Simuline, VRstudios recently partnered with Danish firm Smartlaunch to deploy its VRcade technology through a worldwide network of gaming and entertainment centres.
