NVIDIA’s GPU Technology Conference (GTC) is considered as the largest and most important event of the year for GPU developers, showcasing breakthroughs in the industry. The difference between the 2015 and 2016 conference really highlights how far virtual reality (VR) has come as VR and augmented reality (AR) will have ‘special emphasis’ at this year’s GTC.
The event will feature over 500 sessions, 28 of which will concentrate on VR and AR technology, with keynote presentations from major names including NVIDIA’s own SEO, Jen-Hsun Huang, who will deliver the opening keynote on the second day of the conference where he will announce ‘significant news’ at 9am PT.
Some of the session leaders of the VR events will include Arthur van Hoff, CTO of Jaunt VR, Beck Besecker, CEO and Co-Founder of Marxent, Co-Founders of Beautypi, Pol Jeremias and Inigo Quilez, and david Luebke, Senior Director of Research at NVIDIA – and many more which are listed on the official website. Other speakers will include representatives from Alibaba, Audi, Baidu, Boeing, Facebook, Google, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Pixar, Raytheon, Samsung, Siemens, SpaceX and Twitter, among others.
GTC will be held at the San Jose Convention Center in Silicon Valley from 4th-7th April this year with tickets available here.
