Last week’s launch of the HTC Vive didn’t go without a hiccup, with pre-orders for the head-mounted display (HMD) encountering issues with some banks failing to process payments. That hasn’t stopped Valve from showcasing what’s coming next for the virtual reality (VR) platform however, including the reveal of a second outing for their hugely popular MOBA, DOTA 2.

DOTA 2’s first effort in VR was a technical demonstration, Secret Shop, which has now been included in the critically acclaimed HTC Vive launch title, The Lab. The second installment interacts with live online gameplay, allowing the player to learn more about the videogame and the activities of more experienced players. The reveal comes in the form of a teaser video, showcasing the SteamVR Dashboard, Game Theater mode and finally DOTA 2’s spectator mode in action.

With the preliminary heading ‘And look forward to more VR features coming to your favorite games [sic]’, Valve clearly isn’t done with updating their existing videogame catalogue for VR. The video follows in full below and VRFocus will keep you updated with all the latest details on DOTA 2’s VR gameplay.
