For UK-based virtual reality (VR) enthusiasts looking to purchase a HTC Vive head-mounted display (HMD), they can now buy one through retailer GAME.

GAME has now got the headset listed on its website for the same price as HTC’s own website, £689.00 GBP. The main difference being that while HTC charges an estimated delivery price of £54.74, with a shipping time of around 2-3 days, GAME is offering free UK express delivery for customers.

Also included in the price is Google’s Tilt Brush, Northway Games’ Fantastic Contraption and Owlchemy Labs’ Job Simulator. As an added extra bonus GAME reward card customers will earn 5512 GAME reward points worth £13.78, which could go towards Steam credit for more titles.

The retailer also has two further HTC Vive bundles on offer. One includes the HMD and a £20 Steam Credit for £709.00, and the other is HTC Vive with a ASUS GTX 1070 8G Founders Edition Graphics Card for £1088.00. The GeForce GTX 1070 is one of NVIDIA’s latest VR gaming cards which launched last month.

These prices and offers are only related to the online store, going into a GAME store prices maybe different.

HTC has been making a significant push recently through various initiatives like its Vive X Global VR Accelerator Program, bringing the delivery times down to 3 days for worldwide delivery, and expanding its sales channels in Japan.

Currently on Steam there’s 338 videogames, apps and experiences available with award winning titles such as Raw Data just launching, and popular titles such as Project CARS, Pool Nation VR and Elite Dangerous to name just a few.

VRFocus will continue its coverage of HTC Vive, reporting back with the latest announcements.
