Scope AR, a San Francisco-based company specialising augmented reality (AR) smart instructions and live support video calling solutions, has announced it’s secured $2 million USD in seed funding.
Investors involved in the round included Susa Ventures, Presence Capital Fund and New Stack Ventures. The new investment will be used primarily to further accelerate and scale the company’s products – WorkLink and Remote AR – as well as expand its sales and support teams.
“It’s an exciting time in the industry as technology platforms are quickly democratizing the use of AR – empowering organizations to easily create AR instructional content and change how they approach employee training and collaboration,” said Scott Montgomerie, CEO and co-founder of Scope AR. “As a result, the timeline in which augmented reality becomes more mainstream — expanding beyond industrial use to consumer applications — is rapidly shrinking, and we’re looking forward to continuing to innovate our products to help lead the way in bringing live, ready-to-use AR solutions to the market.”

Scope AR uses AR for video collaboration, procedural documentation and step-by-step instruction for industrial applications. Companies such as Boeing, Toyota and Lockheed Martin all use Scope AR products to reduce downtime, lower costs, scale employees’ expertise and improve knowledge retention.
