Ubisoft is currently working on two virtual reality (VR) titles for multiple head-mounted displays (HMDs). Eagle Flight was shown as an early demo at E3 2015 before officially getting showcased at the PlayStation Experience 2015 in December and Werewolves Within, revealed at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2016. Both videogames will support Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and PlayStation VR headsets. This week the company released a new video giving a sneak peek into both projects.

Werewolves Within

In Eagle Flight (as the name suggests) you control an eagle flying through the streets and skies of a deserted Paris. The videogame will feature single player missions comprising ring parkour and shooting challenges. While the multiplayer will allow up to six people to fight it out in the streets, exploring Paris to find collectibles and hidden passageways to gain the advantage in two different modes. The video features Vicki Ferguson, programming team lead who explains further.

While Werewolves Within –  being developed by Red Storm – is an online party title for five to eight people, the aim being to discover who within the group is a werewolf. Uncovering who is the werewolf requires players to utilize their randomly assigned roles and abilities, a guidebook with hints, and the power of persuasion to assess each other. Each round is played quickly, assigning players new roles every time, mixing up gameplay.

Eagle Flight and Werewolves Within are both scheduled to be released this year, although no exact dates have been released. VRFocus will continue its coverage of Ubisoft’s projects, reporting back with any new updates.
