It was only last month that Steam held its famous summer sale offering discounts on hundreds of titles across its store. Virtual reality (VR) headset owners didn’t miss out either whether they owned a HTC Vive or an Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD). This weekend however Steam is offering a solely VR focused sale just for this weekend, with 191 titles available.
The discounts available do vary wildly depending on the videogame, from 10 percent off all the way up to a massive 80 percent off. The selection is huge, but the quality does tend to vary from simple tech demos up to fully fledged experiences that’ll be high on some gamers lists.
Aside from all the individual offers Steam’s also curated a selection of twenty titles for a special ‘VR Weekend Sale Bundle‘. This gives a further discount by offering a further 15 percent off the already cheaper games. When buying them all together the normal full price would be £274.80 GBP. If you bought each one in the sale then it would cost you £220.45. But buying the bundle drops that price further still, down to £187.38, saving almost £90.
