Indie videogame development studio Computer Lunch has announced its first virtual reality (VR) videogame for the Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR head-mounted displays (HMDs) called Swing Star VR. The company has previously made mobile titles Side Walker, Mama Hawk and Bunny Love, and Swing Star VR will be heading to the devices this May.

Swing Star VR has a very simple premise, players make their way through the levels by swinging between objects. The character has a helmet with a giant hand on top which can grab the various items located around to casually swing, then propel you across to the next available grapple point.

The videogame is designed as fun immersive use of VR, where your swing can be sped up with collectable Turbo YoYo’s, jelly chill out zones slow the pace down or find a cannon to blast you through the air. All the movement is controller with your head and single button presses so it shouldn’t be too difficult to pick up and play.

Computer Lunch will be launching the title on 5th May 2016, costing $2.99 USD on Gear VR and $9.99 USD for the Oculus Rift.
