Slowly but surely European pre-orders for the consumer version of Oculus VR and Samsung’s Gear VR mobile-based virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) are starting to come online. Last night saw the official German listing for the device go up and now it appears one for the Netherlands has arrived too. But while Germany’s listing only confirmed a price it appears that this latest arrival also reveals when fans will be able to get their hands on the device, and it doesn’t seem to be too far off.

The consumer Gear VR should be arriving for Netherlands pre-orders later this week on 21st November 2015. That’s just a day after the kit launches in the US, though it’s not clear if everyone in Europe can expect a delivery on the same day. In fact that may well not be the case seeing as other major territories such as the UK and France are yet to even list the device. The kit is also listed for €99.99 EUR on the site, which was a discounted offer over in Germany but appears to be the standard cost in the Netherlands.

The consumer Gear VR works with Samsung’s range of 2015 smartphones. That includes the Galaxy S6 flagship handset, the curved Galaxy S6 edge, the enlarged Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 edge plus, which combines the defining features of the previous two. It’s also priced at $99 USD over in the US and Oculus VR has been releasing a steady stream of new content for it in the build-up to the release over the past few weeks. This includes new titles such as Bandit Six: Salvo and Land’s End.

This leaves the price for territories like the UK, Australia and New Zealand. VRFocus will continue to follow the Gear VR closely, reporting back with the latest updates on its progress.
