At this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles, Sony brought lots of news about the PlayStation VR headset as well as 40 playable virtual reality (VR) demos for attendees to play on the show floor, one of which was Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin. The title was first announced at the 2015 PlayStation Experience, where it was revealed it would be a PlayStation VR exclusive and its story would bridge the gap between the end of the original Psychonauts title and its upcoming sequel Psychonauts 2.

The announcement trailer for Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin was fairly short so although we’ve had a good idea of what the title is going to involve in terms of story, we haven’t really seen much of its actual gameplay. Now, though, the videogame’s developer Double Fine has revealed a first look trailer for the title that’s over nine minutes long showing how the first person VR perspective will look in a segment that appears to be the beginning of the videogame considering the gameplay has elements of a tutorial about it.

Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin doesn’t have any exact release date other than 2016 just yet, but VRFocus will continue to follow the title and bring you all the latest details.
