Since Sony Interactive Entertainment’s (SIE’s) PlayStation VR announcements on price and launch month at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2016, excitement for the device has been building. And now SIE has announced that its Road to Greatness Tour is back for 2016 featuring the head-mounted display (HMD) for the first time.

Revealed on the US PlayStation.Blog, The Road to Greatness tour is basically a massive 16 wheeled truck that will travel around the US from now until November. It’ll be heading to videogame festivals and conventions to showcase the latest PlayStation 4 titles, holding tournaments and exclusive giveaways.

The tour will be one of the easiest ways to demo a PlayStation VR headset ( if you live in the US of course), but the trucks capacity is limited. Only a few dozen people each day will get a chance to have a go. With this in mind the PlayStation.Blog an quick way to get priority access. Send a tweet to @HeyPlayStation saying that you wish to try the HMD, then show the tweet to a staff member at the truck.

What’s not currently listed is the available videogames that will be on display during the tour. Titles that have been showcased at previous events and are most likely to appear probably include Playroom VR, RIGS: Mechanised Combat League or Gran Turismo Sport to name a few.

The PlayStation.com is reportedly due to have further information on the tours route and playable videogames, but as of writing nothing has been listed yet.

VRFocus will bring you further details on The Road to Greatness Tour 2016 as we get them.
