Despite us now being halfway through December you might be surprised to know there isn’t any festive apps available on Oculus VR Share yet.  No doubt there will be a sudden flurry in the days to come but for now we continue on with what we have, which, it turns out is probably as far away from snow and Santa Claus as you can get.

Developed by MBrown and published by MidnightVR.com, The Beach House is a VR experience for the Oculus Rift DK1 or DK2 that takes you to a peaceful shore and a residence nearby where you can sit back, put your feet up and take in the sights and sounds of the Caribbean.  There’s even a snoozing kitten by your feet, showing it clearly works for animals as well as man.

The property itself might remind you a little of footage seen in Summer Lesson, but it is definitely its own experience, one you can try should you have the required head mounted display (HMD) running SDK 0.6.0.1. Further details can be found on the Oculus VR Share page.
