Virtual reality (VR) meetups have been popping up more frequently, and it’s no secret that they are the best place for consumers and developers from various stages in the VR game to come face to face. Now HTC will be hosting a meetup with two other names in the VR industry to show their products, answer questions, and mix with their market.

It was announced on Twitter yesterday and organised today that the creators of the HTC Vive head-mounted display (HMD), and they will be making an appearance along with NVIDIA and HP t showcase their own VR tech. As well as these three companies, Valve’s Chet Faliszek and HTC’s Dan O’Brien have been said to be around to engage in conversation for the whole of the evening.

NVIDIA will be bringing along its VR Funhouse, a videogame which shows off NVIDIA’s latest graphics cards to hit the market this week, the GeForce GTX 1080 in particular. The VR Funhouse is NVIDIA’s collection of mini-games which demonstrate the latest graphics capabilities through a fairground simulation where the player can pop balloons, ruffle hair on dolls, and throw octopus against the wall to see them stick.

HP will be making an appearance, and its latest VR creation was the VR ready desktop series, the HP Envy. The desktops that are available run on one of NVIDIA’s previously most powerful graphics cards, the GTX 980Ti.

The event will take place in London’s Adventure Bar, located in Covent Garden, and aims to start at 7pm until 10:30pm this Thursday on 26th May. Tickets are available on Eventbrite and are free. It was also shared that the event will have food and drink as well as lots of VR.
